September 11, 2025 (2 Trades) (-$62.50)
Overall Grade: C-
Day Summary: First and foremost, 24 years to date since 9/11. May we never forget. God bless the United States of America!
I approached the market with a good mindset today, and took trades that ultimately ended up being right, but due to FOMO entries, I couldn't hold through the drawdown and ended up taking L's on both. To be fair, they were subpar set ups to start and trades that, even though ended up being right, were not worth the risk by any means. The only good takeaways from today were that I kept the losses small and I walked away after two loosing trades, even when my mind was telling me to stick around and give it another shot. So I did follow my rules over my will and that is important.

TRADES
Trade 1 - Long 2 MES @ 21 EMA Bounce + FOMO Entry
Grade: C-
- buying at highs - not ideal (look at 15 MIN range)
- trading in the direction of recent trend - good
- although I can say that this is technically my set up in theory, it was definitelty a subpar set up
- intuition alone told me this trade was not worth the risk and I was immediately uncomfortable upon entry
- good job keeping the loss small
Trade 2 - Long 2 MES @ 21 EMA Bounce + FOMO Entry
Grade: C-
- I considered getting long at the 9:51am pullback and had FOMO from not doing it even though I took a break and went outside after missing it
- I then considered a 21 EMA Bounce and got FOMO when I saw it pop back up even though it didn't even test the 21
- FOMO entry led to a poor R and an uncomfortable hold on this trade, especially since I was trading from the red
- stopped this trade at the low but that is what I get for acting on FOMO - my biggest struggle over the past few days and, if I'm being honest, my whole career
- I was trading in the direction of the trend at least, and I know over the long term that will be beneficial, but acting without a proper set up and with FOMO caused this to be a well deserved loss
