July Recap
- Choppy month for me
- Market was a mixed bag and I was travelling a lot.
- 1/3 of the month I missed.
- Ranging was actually the best pattern for me
- Mainly because I'd miss the frontside or take big losses trading it late due to FOMO from missing the frontside when I should have been trading it.
- You'd think I'd rather do a ranging challenge instead of a frontside challenge but based on my experience and stats frontside is usually the best. This month I beleive by constantly having red experiences with overtrading when I finally could I was too cautious to trade frontside when I should have. So I want to reduce my trading time and get aggressive when the opportunity arrises. And the best place to make a good r/r profit is frontside.
- Benefits of ranging is usally the lower risk.
August Forecast
Day Trading
- Multi-day runners are still big
- August tends to be a slower month but last year with covid it was a strong month
- Get in and get out
Swing Trading
- Slowly reducing swing trades. Best to be focused on a few and really nail the moves.
- Buy on tickers that have started to trend back up from their bottoms
- Buy near bottoms that have shown to be support with stops in place
- Lot's of hype around a september boom for crypto
