Happy Birthday Bish!

-Today I don't even want to go over my trades. There is clearly something wrong with my mindset and I want to journal it.

After looking back at my trades over the last month plus, I noticed many problems that I need to get to the bottom of:

  1. Buying High and Selling Low (especially in this choppy market - FOMO
  2. Not trading my set up more than half of the time - FOMO
  3. When I am trading my set up and I am entering early which is skewing my R - FOMO
  4. I have not been following my 2 Loss And Done rule - Frustration + No Emotional Control
  5. Trading very early in the session everyday - No Discipline
  6. Not cutting my losers when I get a close above/below 21 EMA and instead holding every loss to my emergency 10 point stop loss

-Now, what is causing me to deviate from my plan and force trades that end up in stupid, unneccesary losses. Honestly, I think that I am just thinking about the money too much. I have added multiple thousands of dollars to my account in the past few months, which is unlike past me. I have not been focusing on the process like I was in the back half of 2025 and instead trying to force the market to give me my money back. I need to remember that, although I do want to make that money back, the only way to do it is to focus on the process and take one trade at a time, one day at a time. The fastest route to recovery is always the slow route. What I need to do is start trading 1 MES again and executing my system and my system only. If I lose trading my set up, well I can be happy with that. The losses I have been taking are just plain dumb and not following my strategy at all, which causes me to become more and more frustrated and causes me to force it more and more. I do know what works and I have not even been giving myself a chance to benefit from that, because for every trade I take that follows my system, I take 3-5 gamble trades in between which eats up any profit from good trades, and some.

For example today. I saw my set up show up multiple times in a heavy downtrending day and I did not take one short. Instead I took 10+ longs (5 on my live and 5+ on my evals) WHY?? The market was clearly showing me opportunities to short highs in a downtrending market and I was going long. I was not trading what the market was showing me, but instead trading my ego, just wanting to be right. Well guess what!? The market is always right. I need to get in tune with it or don't trade at all.

Going into tomorrow, or whenever my next trading day is, I need to do a couple things, which ultimately are easy fixes:

  1. Believe in myself
  2. Trade only in the direction of the trend
  3. Trade only my 21 EMA set up
  4. Be patient for good entries
  5. Follow my 2 Loss And Done Rule
  6. Cut losers when I get a close above/or below the 21 EMA instead of always holding for my 10 point emergency stop loss

*Following steps 4, 5 and 6 will drastically improve my R (5-6 point stop for a 10-15 point winner)

FAQ

FOMO stands for 'Fear of Missing Out,' which can lead traders to make impulsive decisions rather than sticking to their trading plan.

The '2 Loss And Done' rule is a trading guideline where a trader stops trading for the day after incurring two consecutive losses to prevent further emotional and financial damage.

Following a trading strategy helps maintain discipline, reduces emotional trading, and increases the likelihood of consistent profits.

The 21 EMA, or Exponential Moving Average, is used by traders to identify trends and potential entry or exit points based on price action.

A trader can improve their mindset by focusing on the process, practicing patience, and avoiding emotional reactions to losses.
