Payouts are processed monthly via PayPal or Stripe. Associate tier has a $50 minimum payout threshold. Influencer and Ambassador tiers have no minimum.
You earn a percentage of whatever your referral pays (monthly or lifetime). Your tier determines your commission rate (25%, 35%, or 45%).
Examples at 25% (Associate):
- Monthly sub ($50/mo): You earn $12.50/month recurring
- Lifetime purchase ($1,200): You earn $300 one-time
Important: Tiers are based on unique paying users, not total payments. If you have 1 user who's paid 10 times, you're still Associate. You need 6+ unique users who've paid to reach Influencer.
Yes! You can use Google Ads, Facebook Ads, YouTube ads, or any paid traffic. Just don't bid on our brand name (TradeJournal) directly.
Commissions stop when the subscription ends. However, since they're tied to you forever, if they resubscribe at any point in the future (even years later), your commissions resume automatically!
Unlike traditional 30-90 day cookies, we tie referred accounts to your affiliate account forever. If someone clicks your link today, creates a free account, then upgrades to Pro 5 years from now, you still get the commission. They're yours for life!
Great news - tier upgrades are RETROACTIVE!
When you reach a new tier, ALL your existing referrals automatically get upgraded to the new commission rate. Here's an example:
- You start with 3 referrals: Earning 25% commission ($12.50/mo each) = $37.50/mo total
- You get 3 more (6 total): You unlock Influencer tier (35%)
- Result: ALL 6 referrals now earn you 35% ($17.50/mo each) = $105/mo total
